WHITE RIVER – The children who attended searched for chocolate eggs and bunnies.
Organiser Estelle Roe said 62 children participated this year – the second successive time the centre hosted the hunt.
A colouring-in competition was held with great excitement, as the children created their best works of art. Prizes worth R2 500 were up for grabs.
These entailed a lunch voucher at Premier Winkler Hotel and one for Picasso’s Mexican Taqueria. Ramps 2 Runway White River gave two vouchers for modelling sessions and Zanna’s sponsored a big cookie jar for one lucky winner.
Another voucher was from Puma N4 garage for fuel.
Winners were Chantel Mhlabane, who won the cookie jar, Iphile Dlamini won a lunch at the Premier Winkler Hotel, Kenya Ngubane and Owethu Ndlovu won a Coke package, Tebego Lesiya won the Picasso’s voucher and Nombuso Mhlambane won the fuel voucher.
The three judges were Heidel Eggs’ Leander Robertze, Ramps 2 Runway White River’s Yolandela Sihlobo and Roe.
The latter said a kiddies’ cook-off was planned for June. “A date has not been set as yet, but the prizes will be worth about R20 000, with a week away in Bilene, Mozambique as the main prize.”
