Plaaslike buurtwaglede leer hoe om hulleself in noodgevalle te handhaaf

Die AfriForum-buurtwag in Witrivier het onlangs selfverdedigingsopleiding by Piet Venter ontvang.

Dit vorm deel van ‘n reeks opleidingsgeleenthede wat dié buurtwaglede bywoon om te verseker dat hulle korrek optree tydens noodsituasies.

Addisionele opleiding word reeds vir die Witrivier-buurtwag oorweeg, terwyl wetlike toepassings- en patrollietegnieke ook hersien moet word.

“Dit is noodsaaklik vir ons lede om na hulle eie veiligheid en welstand om te sien en paraat te wees tydens ‘n noodgeval. Ons moet altyd voorbereid wees vir enige situasie,” sê Johan Pelser, voorsitter van AfriForum se Witrivier-buurtwag.

Inwoners kan by die plaaslike AfriForum-buurtwag betrokke raak deur “Witrivier” na 45350 te SMS. So ‘n SMS kos R1.
